First day of workshops at Sally Mugabe Psychiatric Hospital in Harare sharing learning on the impact of Covid 19 on mental health as well as discussing integrating mental health care into the community and primary care. Also sharing best practice and approaches to delivering drug and alcohol detox programmes.
Final day of workshops yesterday followed by a meeting at the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) Head Office to discuss opportunities in mental healthcare partnership.
It has been a full week for the ZLP team of workshops and meeting potential partnership organisations in Zimbabwe including: British Embassy in Zimbabwe, Women’s University of Zimbabwe, #Pamumvuri, Mr Moses Chihobvu, Commissioner General of Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services and with both the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) teams.
